CNC Brake Bracket
The Recipe
We started by designing the bracket in Inventor and then uploaded it to Fusion 360 for it to be tool pathed. In Fusion 360 we used 3D contour we are doing more the=an just carving out. The file is set up to carve away all of the extra foam that is on top of the future brake bracket. It then will go through and cut out the rest of the design. This is all simulated in the Fusion 360 simulation software where you can see what exactly happens to your design.

Setting it up
Summary
I learned that compared to the CNC Router the CNC Mill is quite smaller, but it can do way more intricate designs with a higher quality. The Router however, left very scabbed/rough edges where the Mill left smooth edges that required little sanding. It amazes me that yes it can cut through some metals and can create long lasting parts that can be used in cars.
